Common questions

How do I save a recipe from a video?

Open the TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube post you want to save, tap the share icon, and pick Cooked from the share sheet. Or copy the link and paste it in the + menu on the recipes tab. Most recipes appear in 5–15 seconds.

The recipe extraction failed or looks wrong

Some videos have very short captions or low-quality audio. If a recipe is incomplete, open it and tap Improve with AI on the Method tab — Cooked will re-watch the video and fill in the steps.

If you're getting "Couldn't download the video" on Instagram or TikTok, the source is sometimes temporarily unavailable. Try again in a minute.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name at the top → SubscriptionsCookedCancel Subscription.

You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.

I bought Cooked on another phone — how do I restore it?

Sign in with the same Apple ID, open Cooked, go to the paywall screen, and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom. Your subscription will reactivate within a few seconds.

Can I change measurement units?

Yes. Go to Settings → Units in the app and pick metric or imperial. Cooked converts ingredient amounts on the fly — your saved recipes stay the same, only the display changes.

How do I delete my account or data?

Go to Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes all your recipes, collections, and account info from our servers within 30 days. The action can't be undone.

Is my data private?

Yes. Cooked never sells your data. Recipes you save are stored in your private library and only shared if you explicitly tap the share button. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
